The 201 diseases are caused by bacteria (47), chemicals (21), fungi (8), helminths (26), immune disorders (3), other agents (3), protozoa (11), rickettsiae (11), spirochetes (5), toxins (22), and viruses (44). Immune disorders include Guillain-Barre syndrome, which is closely associated with some infectious diseases, and hypersensitivity pneumonitis, which may present as a febrile outbreak. In the "Other" category are "Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease," "Mass psychogenic illness," and "Radiation sickness, acute."
